    Description: This training course covers topics from LANDESK Service Desk products. By the end of class, students should be able to configure self- service to work with service catalogue, incidents, and knowledge management. In addition, students will create and configure the processes to direct activity in LANDESK Service Desk. Design workshops will give students the opportunity to apply class knowledge to real-world scenarios.  

    Prerequisites: Pre-existing product knowledge is required. It is assumed that students have attended the LANDESK Service Desk Boot Camp or have equivalent knowledge gained from hands-on experience working with the products. Concepts covered in the boot camp will be referenced as building blocks for the more technical discussions.

    Students will learn to log and progress incidents to a successful resolution, whether they are simple, one-step incidents, or ones that require the use of Problem and Change Management.

    The course also introduces students to other parts of the LANDESK® Service Desk suite, including Impact and Configuration Management, Core Knowledge, and the LANDESK Service Desk Portal.

    Description: This accelerated bootcamp is intended for IT professionals tasked with the administration and design of LANDESK Service Desk. There is no requirement for existing knowledge of the LANDESK products, however prerequisite E-Learning modules are required viewing for anyone new to the products.

    This five-day training course covers topics from both the administrative and design functions within LANDESK Service Desk. In-class learning is supplemented by E-Learning modules. Students will learn how to configure and manage the key aspects of LANDESK Service Desk, including object, window & process design; test to live, multi-lingual, dynamic windows, web access for both analysts and end Users and many more administrative functions.

    • create the objects and windows required to hold CI data
    • set up connections to external data sources
    • create asset views of external data sources
    • import CI data from single data sources

    Description: The course is recommended for supervisors or system administrators of the LANDESK Service Desk solution. It teaches the core activities required to manage and administer both the LANDESK Service Desk console and portal including the management of users, service levels, categories, core knowledge and the production of queries. In addition the course teaches how to customize business objects and system windows.

    As a result of attending this course, students should be able to:

    • Create and manage all aspects of User Develop Service Levels
    • Build categories and lists. Populate knowledge base with data from LANDESK Service Desk
    • Report against LANDESK Service Desk by developing queries and reports
    • Set up and configuration of the Service Portal
    • Use the template designer data imports
    • Understand the LANDESK Service Desk console object model
    • Design and implement new business objects
    • Modify existing business objects
    • Design and create new windows and modify existing windows
    Prerequisites: Use of the Windows Operating Environment, preferably including the use of industry standard windows-based office products. Attendance on the LANDESK Service Desk Solutions Overview course or a good understanding of the key elements of the LANDESK Service Desk Solution.
