Steve Daly, President and CEO

As president and CEO of LANDESK Software, Steve Daly is responsible for driving new and existing LANDESK business, as well as the creation of innovative IT management solutions. Daly served as senior vice president of corporate strategy for Avocent Corporation from 2003 through December 2006 and was responsible for driving strategic planning and business development. He previously served as president and CEO of Soronti Inc., a remote management vendor acquired by Avocent in 2003. Before Soronti, Daly managed various marketing and finance positions at Intel Corporation and was director of marketing for the LANDESK Systems Management division of Intel. Daly holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

 

Mark McBride, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As executive vice president and CFO of LANDESK Software, Mark McBride is responsible for the financial strategy and administrative operations of the organization, including worldwide accounting, treasury, financial planning, information technology, human resources, and license fulfillment functions. Prior to joining LANDESK, McBride was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EnergySolutions, Inc. He has also held executive-level accounting and finance positions at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, Ovid Technologies, Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation, and HealthRider. He is a certified public accountant and was a Senior Audit Manager at Price Waterhouse LLP. McBride holds a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Utah Technology Council.

 

Josh Baxter, Executive Vice President, Global Services

As vice president of Global Services at LANDESK Software, Josh Baxter is responsible for leading Education, Professional Services, and Customer Support to help customers maximize the value of their LANDESK solutions. Baxter was the director of LANDESK Customer Support from 2004 to 2008, responsible for improving the customer experience by sharing customer experiences with engineering to improve LANDESK products. Before LANDESK, Baxter led Customer Support operations at Novell from 1996 to 2004 where he built Novell's managed services business. Baxter holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA from Utah State University.

 

Tom Davis, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

As CTO, Tom Davis is responsible for driving the creation of new IT and mobility management solutions and setting and executing the direction of LANDESK engineering teams, including architecture oversight, engineering processes, product testing, and project management. At Celio Corporation, Davis served as CEO where he was instrumental in transforming the company from a hardware business to software for mobile computing devices. Previously at Celio he was executive vice president of engineering and collaborated with senior executives to formulate the company strategy roadmap. He’s also served as vice president and Chief Platform Architect at Avocent Corporation, vice president of engineering at LANDESK Software, and 11 years at Intel Corporation where he served as engineering director and CTO of the Software Products and Services Division. Davis holds a B.S. degree in electronics engineering technology from Brigham Young University, with continued education at Cal Berkley and Cal Tech. He also served in the United States Air Force and was an honors graduate of the USAF Technical Training.

 

Mike Hall, Executive Vice President, Global Sales

As executive vice president of global sales, Mike Hall is responsible for driving worldwide sales initiatives for all products and solutions. Before LANDESK, Hall was CEO of Senforce Technologies, an endpoint security leader, where his team turned around the business, achieved aggressive revenue growth, and completed a successful acquisition. Before Senforce, Hall served as vice president of sales and marketing at LANDESK Software, providing critical leadership as the team spun out of Intel, doubled revenue, and established profitable international operations. He has also served in executive sales and marketing positions, both in the Americas and in Europe, at Novell, Vignette, and IBM. Hall holds a bachelor of science degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

 

Bob Macfarlane, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development

Bob Macfarlane heads LANDESK corporate development activities, driving acquisition and strategic licensing deals with key technology partners who can leverage and extend the value of LANDESK offerings. Prior to spinning out with the LANDESK unit in 2002, Macfarlane spent 10 years with Intel Corporation. At Intel he co-managed a $1.2 billion portfolio as part of Intel Treasury and drove significant equity investments as part of Intel Capital. As a director of business development for Intel's Software Products and Services Division, he negotiated numerous licenses and partnership agreements representing millions of dollars in revenues. Macfarlane has sourced, structured, and negotiated several acquisitions and minority equity investments. He is experienced in conducting due diligence and M&A integration. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Utah and an MBA in finance from Brigham Young University. 

 

Steve Morton, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO, Steve Morton provides guidance on LANDESK’s strategic marketing and branding initiatives, including the continued integration of LANDESK business units Wavelink and Shavlik. Prior to LANDESK, Morton served as CMO of RES Software and also served as the vice president of product marketing for Symantec’s enterprise product portfolio. In his role at Symantec he was involved in global outbound marketing, including messaging, marketing campaigns,  and industry analyst relations. Prior to taking on the global product marketing role, Morton was vice president of product management for Symantec’s endpoint management business, which included the Altiris product portfolio. He has also served in various product, marketing, and services roles at other IT companies, including Peregrine Systems and Folio Corporation. Morton holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Colorado.

 

Matt Smith, Vice President-General Counsel

As general counsel of LANDESK Software, Matt Smith leads the worldwide legal team. Smith served as director of LANDESK corporate development from 2005 to 2010, working with the team to complete and deliver on the value proposition of strategic acquisitions and licensing deals with key technology partners. Smith also served as corporate counsel in the LANDESK legal department from 2003 to 2005, supporting the various legal needs of all LANDESK departments. Before LANDESK, Smith was an attorney with the Silicon Valley law firm Cooley Godward, working in the Fund Formation and Emerging Companies groups, serving technology clients, including investors and private and public companies. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Brigham Young University and a law degree from the Boston University School of Law.

 

Steve Workman, Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Planning

Steve Workman oversees the LANDESK corporate strategy and planning process that identifies emerging competitive and market trends and aligns the organization to achieve strategic growth objectives. As vice president of product management for LANDESK from its spinout from Intel in 2002, Workman drove the product strategy and integration of systems, security, and service management product lines and identified additional business line opportunities that resulted in several key acquisitions. Before LANDESK, Workman held numerous product management / marketing positions at organizations including Intel, Dayna Communications, and Emerson Electric. Workman holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton.
